Vinigalicia, with wineries in each of Galicia’s Designation of Origin (D.O.), complements and enhances the portfolio of wines we work with. It also allows us to access the affordable wine market where they have many years of experience.
Its history began to be written in 1940 when Manuel Méndez and Maruja Otero founded Casa Penouzos, a small and endearing establishment in Chantada (Galicia, Spain) dedicated to catering and wine sales.
Three generations later, the small family winery in Chantada became a company that exports wines from the five Galician designation of origin (D.O.) to 20 countries.
Vinigalicia’s winemaking family has a wide variety of products, from bulk wines, special wines, varietal wines, Bag in Box, wines without D.O., D.O. wines Rias Baixas, Ribeiro, Ribeira Sacra, Valdeorras and Monterrei, sangrias, summer reds, spirits and liqueurs.
